Open only to legal residents of Arkansas, age 18 or older at the time of entry.
Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

🗓 Entry Period

Entries will be accepted from the launch date through December 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM CST.
The winner will be selected and notified on December 13, 2025.

✅ How to Enter

Online: Visit https://shippingofficear.com/christmastreegiveaway and complete the entry form with your name, email, and phone number.

In Person: Visit The Shipping Office at 424 W Main Street, Jacksonville, AR 72076, and either fill out a paper entry form or scan the QR code to enter online.

Limit one (1) entry per person per day, regardless of entry method. Duplicate or automated entries may be disqualified.

🎁 Prize

One (1) artificial Christmas tree, approximate retail value (ARV) $50.00.

Prize must be picked up in person at The Shipping Office during normal business hours.

No delivery or drop-off is available.

The Shipping Office is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged prizes once the winner has claimed.

Prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or any other item.

🏆 Winner Selection and Notification

One (1) winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received by the deadline.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

The winner will be notified by phone, email, and text on December 13, 2025.

If the winner cannot be reached within 48 hours or fails to claim the prize, an alternate winner may be selected.

The Year We Put Tinsel on a Houseplant

When I was in fifth grade, I had one of my most interesting life lessons. It was that year — and maybe you’ve had one too — when I learned Christmas didn’t come in a box from the store.

Money was tight--the kind of tight where you count coins before buying gas. I know, that was a long time ago, but the story is still relevant.

We couldn’t afford a Christmas tree, so we made do with what we had: my aunt had a decent-sized plant known as a crown-of-thorns. We set this monstrosity on the table while trying not to get poked and decorated it as though it were a Christmas tree.

We wrapped something around the pot, tossed on a handful of tinsel, and called it our Christmas tree.

Our presents were typically wrapped in newspaper, and when really lucky, the Sunday comics, because if you’re gonna be broke, at least laugh while you unwrap it.

But here’s the thing — we were still together, still smiling and laughing, and somehow the lights seemed to shine just as bright.

That memory stuck. So this year, we’re paying it forward.
